Security Protection Technician (SKT) at FOI

The Total Defence Research Institute (FOI) is a government agency conducting world-leading research in defense and security to support Sweden's military and civil defense. The research spans several areas, such as underwater, cyber defense, space, electronic warfare, sensor systems, civil defense, CBRNe (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive substances), military platforms including weapons and protection, as well as security policy analyses. About the Position

In the role of Security Protection Technician (SKT), you will work with security technical systems such as access control, alarm, camera, and locking systems. You will be responsible for defining requirements, planning, and coordinating installation assignments as well as following up on the implementation. Furthermore, you will support the system administrator in the operation, management, and further development of security systems at the agency.

In addition to the main tasks, you as SKT will also contribute to other parts of security protection, e.g., control activities and training.

Your security technical strengths mean that you have many points of contact both internally and externally, and that you collaborate with your colleagues in the security protection unit as well as other colleagues at all FOI locations, with frequent travel required for the position. As SKT, you will also contribute as a supportive function within the security protection area to managers and project leaders.

About the Unit

You will be part of the Security Protection Unit, which is placed directly under the Director General. The Security Protection Unit directs and supports the agency's operations in its security protection work. We are represented at all of FOI's operational sites. Requirements

We are looking for someone who is motivated to work with technical security and has:

• Upper secondary technical or electrical/telecommunication education, or equivalent post-secondary technical education
• Experience in installation, service, and maintenance of security technical systems
• Experience working with technical documentation
• Experience working in project form
• Driver's license B.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

To succeed in the role, you need to have integrity and a high security awareness where you communicate trust and create understanding for information security and security protection. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work climate.

The role requires you to be persistent, work structurally with a good ability to adapt to changing conditions where you have the courage to take initiative and independently take responsibility for your tasks. We highly value your personal qualities.

Meritorious

We see it as beneficial if you also have:

• Experience with systems with high security requirements, such as cryptography
• Experience with security standards – particularly SSF 130, SSF 200, and FFS
• Experience working with CAD
• Experience in operations within total defense
